About N S S (National Service scheme)

Birth of N S S:-

September 24th 1969 during Gandhi centenary year.

Motto of N S S:-

The motto or watchwood of the National Service Scheme is �NOT ME BUT YOU�. This express the essence of democratic living and upholds the need for selfless service and appreciation of the other man�s point of view and also to show consideration for fellow human beings. It underlines that the welfare of an individual is ultimately dependent on the welfare of society as a whole. Therefore it should be the aim of the NSS to demonstrate this motto in its day-to-day programme.

Goal of N S S:-

Education through community service and community service through education.

Overall objective of N S S:-

Development of student personality through community service.

Specific objective:-

1, Toprovoke the student�s social consciousness

The Annual Special Camp under National Service Scheme of the Units 1 & 2 for the academic year 2015-2016 was conducted successfully at Kannenahalli, Near Hiremagaluru, Chikkmagaluru District with the participation of 120 NSS volunteers from 25.01.2016 to 30.01.2016
